“I very rarely go to the cinema. My last venture there was some years ago to watch The English Patient“.

I can’t stand people making noise during the film

I have to confess that I absolutely hate the noise that the audience is capable of making. The inane and persistent laughter, the revolting smell of popcorn and all the mess that follows. Now, I catch up with films – whenever I can remember – with video tapes, but I then too often forget.”
